I think most of the older blogs have tried completely open and un-moderated speech at one time or another.
Certain sites, Worrow, Driver, Thanet Watch, TIG etc never ever allowed free speech, which was always funny as the people behind those sites proclaim to be about open, transparent governance and free speech. I've never seen anything I wrote on any of those sites appear, I have several comments on Thanet Watch still awaiting moderation and a recent post to Drivers site will no doubt never appear! (prove me wrong Northwood Ward Cllr I beg thee)
Michael Childs, Dr Moores, the old railway geezer from Margate and others have done un-moderated free speech but have come unstuck a few times, Moores more so than most and have either started to moderate every comment or do so retrospectively a few days later. Sometimes blog owners have resorted to moderation to cut down on spam bots, Millionaire extraordinaire Richard from East Cliffe Ramsgate being one of the last to get a few twinges everytime he checked his comment counter!
Not sure what Michael's recent spate of deleting your comments is about, other than the fact that you do have a tendancy to say exactly what is on your mind and don't hold back when looking at getting the uppercut in straight after a jab.
I am more than happy to offer free speech here, I tend to find that clowns such as Driver and his minions make fools of themselves with little input from anyone else.
It does amuse me that Drivers current bandwagon revolves around openness and transparancy, yet he hides behind 100% censorship of his comedy blog. I have never yet had a post appear on Drivers comedy blog, neither has he ever answered the questions he's been asked. It seems he can only ever operate in an environment where he has complete control, or is completely protected, and the same goes for his monkey.
You are right, I do speak my mind, and as such, I am the natural enemy of the Driver's of this world on many levels. That I have a mind clearly puts me above Driver, and that I am not prepared to swallow half arsed bullshit clearly puts me WAY above his happy band of naive and easily lead minions and his pet monkey Christine Tongue.
Sadly it seems Michael is no longer prepared to have Driver humiliated on his blog. I think that's a shame, as I had an amount of respect for Michael. Having met him a few times, I am sure he is sincere in his beliefs, even though I disagree with him, and he is clearly wrong ;)
